That “ SONG from Kishoreda : From being a “ MUSTANG ” to an “ AMORPHOUS ”

Khiza kay phool pay aatee hai bahar Nahin……

ANOTHER MASTERPIECE OF KISHOREDA & SACHINDA

Composer- Anand Bakshi Music- Laxmikant Pyarelal

1969 was the year and yes that was the year. . Madhubala was declared dead at the age of only 35. She infact was a ravishing beholder of one of the best five most beautiful face on the earth during that time, and she was a brilliant heroine and perhaps one of the five best that ever has been produced in the Indian film history.

Almost on the verge of getting married to the GREAT Dilip Kumar, the marriage did not come and she first acted in a film opposite Kishoreda in a film CHALTI KA NAAM GAADI. Kishoreda was simply swept of her toes when she first saw her.
Thereafter Kishoreda cast her in some of her film namely Half Ticket, Jhumroo, ….. et al and later they married. Infact Kishoreda had to change from being a Hindu to a Muslim to get her married.
The other actor who did the same was Dharmendra who had to convert himself to Muslim as well as Hema Malini too had to do this when they were to get married…. But this is a media news….. the truth is still not known to me. As far as Kishoreda is concerned I do not have to follow the media as he did that.
Ousted From The Bengali Society of Brahmin’s and from his family members

After he got married to Madhubala, he was ousted and outcasted by the entire Ganguly family. The Ganguly’s are a Top-NOTCH-HIGH-CLASS Brahmin, and a PURE SANATANI HINDUS.In Bengali the Brahmins are to follow certain  principles of Brahmanism and these kind of marriages are not accepted by the communities of the Bengali Brahmin’s .One who does it has to go out of the family and the same principal was applied to Kishoreda .
After being ousted from the family and the society,Kishoreda had to face enormous problems, both from the Madhubala family as well as the Ganguly family and the Bengali society. He was socially boycotted. No one ever gave him a hoot. His income etc had all being swept and above all, his most reliable man , his accountant swayed all his money and ran away. He had no clue to do what and do what not.

His marriage to Madhubala also brought him a stroke of bad luck as Madhubala would behave very abnormally whenever she saw Kishoreda and Amit together. Amit was the only hope of Kishoreda and Madhubala would not digest him. That also added fuel to the fire

There came a time in his life when the Doctors told him that he has to seperate from Madhubala or else her attitude towards Amit would make Amit insane. This was another piercing moment for Kishoreda to bear and to do exactly what he did not want to do .

Kishoreda before the marriage to Madubala knew that she was suffering cancer. Inspite of that he married her.

He was on the road when the IT authorities slapped a heavy fine on him. At that time he came to know that his accountant and the ones who would maintain his IT accounts had made a fool of him, In an attempt to make him to understand that they were asking the money from him to deposit to the IT office, they would take the amount from him only to swill and sway it. That was his destiny at that time.

IN THE MOMENT OF CRUX- MADHUBALA DIED  AND KISHOREDA WAS LEFT ALONE

The only consolation ONCE came from Shamshad Begum, who met him once accidently. He broke down to and before  Mrs Shamshad Begum as saying that- MUJHAY KOI PASAN HI NAHIN KARTAA AUR MAI BHIKAREE SAY BHI BADTAR HOH GAYA HOON. It means that nobody likes me now and my life is as bad as the beggar

Shamsad Begum had a very soft corner for Kishoreda always. During his struggling days, Ms Begum once had told him- JAB TUM RAAAJ KARNA SHURU KAROGAY TUMHARA EK CHATTRA RAAJ HOGA. TUMHEY TAB KOI PAKAD BHI NAHIN PAYEGA. It means when you start RULING the WORLD you would be the ALL-IN-ONE and nobody would be able to come anywhere near you.
This she had remarked when Kishoreda once during a film song rehersal had said her- HOON TOH MAI ASHOK KUMARJI KA BHAI, PAR HOON EKDAM BHIKARI, NAA TOH KAMAI HAI AUR NA TOH GHAR THIKAANA. It means is many a way and in that way I happen to be the brother of Ashok Kumar but I’m penniless. Niether do I have money nor do I posses a house to live in.

PYAAR KA MAUSAM :: SEASON FOR ALL THE LOVES TO FALL INTO KISHOREDA’S FEET.

The movie PYAAR KA MAUSAM in which he had to sing a song TUM BIN JAUN KAHAN, the THROW of the song and the voice modulation of the throw that he provided  to the song completely ousted the monopoly of Rafi Saheb whom Kishoreda held him at a very high esteem. Both of them had to sing that song with different lines,  and Kishoreda sang it for Bharat Bhushan and Rafi Sahab sang it for Shahshi Kapoor. The WORLD had then noticed the difference that Kishoreda could produce in a similar situation, and the impact as well the the stills that he could create. That was the turning point but the moment had come and gone. He was waiting for a single moment.
Shri Raj Khosla came up. He was the director of the movie DO RASTAY. He spoke to Kishoreda and about the song. Kishoreda made a study of the sequence and the emotions that Rajesh Khanna was to create and act on the song. He understood the sequence and the scene

HE SANG IT FOR MADHUBALA AND FOR  HER ABSENCE
He mixed it up with his own and the after moment as well as the before death moment of his pangs and the life with Madhubala. On the night before the recording, he deeply got himself to the pains that he had to undergo with his after marriage and the after death moment with Madhubala. Twice he got up during the night, went to his harmonium, sang the song and thereafter he spoke to SDda twice on that night. SDda knew the  ins – and – out of Kishoreda like a person knows the backs-and the –front of his palms . He knew that he was under a duress and that he was to burst out with something spectacular.
On that day of the recording- he ate and drank nothing.Had his bath and ordered his driver to drive him to the recording studio. He entered the room, and saw about 100 different music note players ready to play the music once he started singing. He saw the half of them sitting to his left. He just whisked at them and nodded his head – signaling them- GET READY. The same he did with the ones sitting to his right.

He then looked at Laxikant-Pyarelal and again he nodded his head lifting his head to signal START. The moment he did it- HE SAW HIS GURUDEV SDda approaching him  coming very near to him to get closer to him . He bowed his head to his mentor-and he TOOK A DEEP BREATH-ONE HEAVY BREATH,and he signaled to Lami-Pyare-START.
Every lines that were written by Anand Bakshi for the song- matched his REAL LIFE SITUATION. He brought out the voice which matched Rajesh Khanna and the PIERCING PART of human agony that a human being REALLY faces when he loses everything in the form of LOVE from his LIFE .

The song was recorded. He in a single deep breath- recorded the entire song. Every words were crystal clear and it came out from the heart.
Once the recording got completed- SDda started crying and weeping. He said to Lami-Pyare- ONCE THIS GREAT MAN IS GONE, THE WORLD OF SOUND WILL BECOME…..????? SDda could not stop his tears.
“ A GREAT SONG SUNG BY A GREAT MAGICIAN OF SOUND AND WHEN IT  WAS RECORDED IT WAS TO MAKE RAJESH KHANNA A GREAT SUPER DUPER EMBLESHING DAZZLING STAR "  -:

Here are the lines of the song-:

Khiza kay phool pay aatee yeh bahar nahin

Meray nasseb mai aei dost tera pyaar nahin, (2)

Naa Janay Pyaar Mai Mai , Kab, Jubaan Say Fisal Jaun

Mai Aansoo Bunkar Khud, Nazar Say Gir Jau

Teri Kasam Hai Mera Koi Aitbaar Nahin

Khiza Kay Phoolo Say………

Mai Roj Nai labh Pay Aaah Taktah Hoon

Mai Roj Nai Gum Koh, Raah Par Taakta Hoon

Kisi Khushi Ka Meray Dil Koh, Aitbaar Nahin.
Meray Naseeb Mai Aei Dost Tera Pyaar Nahin

Khiza Kay Phool Pay……….

Garib Kaisay Karey Muhabbath Kisi Amerro Say

Bichhad Gaye Kai Ranjhay Apnee Hiron Say

Kisis Koh Apnay Muqqaddar Pay Ikhthiyaar Nahin

Khiza Kay Phoolaon Say…….

There is no need to write the song as the U-Tube is put here for the readers and the viewers to listen to it but as they say - GOLDEN WORDS AND EPITABHS OUGHT TO BE WRITTEN JUST TO PRESERVE THE  " DIAMONDS " AND THEIR  " MEMOIRS "

YES- Kishoreda sang again another kind of a song thereafter in a film " SWARG-NARAK" and that was when he sang it PURELY for Madam Leena Chandravarkar
