Rafael: The “ NEIGHBOUR’S- ENVY – OWNERS – PRIDE ” : “ BEAUTY” and the        “ BEAST ”
Since 1948 when Pakistan first declared a war on India to sieze Kashmir till the time when we saw Mr Abhinandan catapulting the Pakistani F-16 in to a rouble , the Indian Air Force always had to fight with the very laid back kind of an arsenal yet with their fighting qualities they always poked and pierced as well as punctured the Pakistani pride of anything that they had from the SABRE JET to the latest F-16 .
It was envisaged from the time of 1965 till now that the Indians were winning the fights and the duals against the Pakistani’s on the air and the land because of the INDOMITABLE fighting spirit and their skill  to hooking and  hook winding to catch their opponent off the hook and put them to the wrong place. Though we  were putting the Pakistani’s on the wrong end of it everytime, yet with the passage of the time, it was envisaged that the modern variety of the ammunition and the arsenals were the need of the hour and it was in 2001 that the Indian defense system raised an alarm and put their points to the Union Government about MODERNISING the entire defense with the most latest category of the weapon.
The Bangalore International AIR-SHOW in 2001 brought in Rafael here and the Indian Air Force after having a joy ride on it went GA-GA, GALA-GALA over this fighting plane which was invented at France and which was specifically designed as per the needs that simulated the realities and actualities of the nation that  needed it for the same.
From 2001 to 2020 it took about two decades after all the hara-kiri’s for this BEAUTY to come here finally to send a signal- :
WHEN NOT IN ACTION WE ARE THE BEAUTY AND WHEN IN ACTION WE ARE THE BEAST OF ALL THE BEAST, to the enemy. At last today we would see the COMBO of the beauty and the beast landing here in the land of the GURU NANAK first and from there taking it’s stance and the position to the place where it would be  stationed to take the enemy when it comes to it.
I put here some of the other striking feature of Rafael -:
Over the last decades, air forces have always been the first military component engaged in all crises or conflicts, from the Falklands to the Gulf, from Bosnia to Kosovo, from Afghanistan to Libya, and more recently Mali, the Central African Republic, Iraq and Syria.

Military aviation is undoubtedly the most strategic weapon today, both in terms of combat effectiveness and of critical technologies implemented.
In modern warfare, air dominance from day one is a must, so that air-to-ground and air-to-sea operations can be conducted safely and efficiently.
In the course of asymmetrical and counter-insurgency conflicts, the air arm also remains at the forefront of the military effort, its flexibility and firing power helping ensure that allied forces prevail.
The September 11 events have shown that, in peacetime, it is essential to secure the national airspace with easily deployable control and air defense assets.

Pics - : Rafale ,The Game Changing Missionary
The decisive place of the air component in modern warfare is demonstrated by the defense strategies decided by those nations who want to keep a leading role on the world stage. Look into the picture above . One could really feel the OMNI-ROLE capacity of this beautiful looking fighter plane which becomes a BEAST when in operation for expedition.
The Rafale, with its “ Omnirole ” capabilities, is the right answer to the capability approach selected by an increasing number of governments.
It fully complies with the requirement to carry out the widest range of roles with the smallest number of aircraft.
The Rafale participates in permanent “ Quick Reaction Alert ” (QRA) / air-defense / air sovereignty missions, power projection and deployments for external missions, deep strike missions, air support for ground forces, reconnaissance missions, pilot training sorties and nuclear deterrence duties.
The Air Force single-seat Rafale C, the Air Force two-seat Rafale B, and the Navy single-seat Rafale M feature maximum airframe and equipment commonality, and very similar mission capabilities.
The STRIKING feature that makes it a combo of BEAUTY and the BEAST
Lessons learned from the latest conflicts where air power was used, can be summarized into four overarching expectations about weapon systems by political decision makers:

Pics- : The " BEAUTY " and the " BEAST "
  • Versatility, that is the capability, with the same system, to perform different missions,
  • Interoperability, or the ability to fight in coalition with the allies, using common procedures and standards agreements, and collaborating and communicating in real-time with other systems,
  • Flexibility, which can be illustrated by the ability to conduct several different missions in the course of the same sortie (“Omnirole capability). With this capability, it is possible to switch instantly on the demand of a political decision maker, from a coercion mission (“strike force”) to a preventive mission (a dissuasive low-altitude, high-speed “show of force”), or even to cancel a mission until the last second (reversibility),
  • Survivability, that is the capability to survive in a dense threat environment thanks to stealthiness and / or to advanced electronic warfare systems.
·         The “ Omnirole ” Rafale combines all these advantages: it is relevant against both traditional and asymmetrical threats, it addresses the emerging needs of the armed forces in a changing geopolitical context, and it remains at the forefront of technical innovation.
hThanks to its versatility, its adaptability and its ability to meet all air mission requirements, the Rafale is the “ poster child ” transformational fighter which provides a way forward to air forces confronted to the requirement of doing “ more ” with “ less ”, in an ever-changing strategic and economic environment.
·         Of a moderate size, yet extremely powerful, superbly agile and very discrete, the latest type of combat aircraft from Dassault Aviation does not only integrate the largest and most modern range of sensors, it also multiplies their efficiency with a technological breakthrough, the “multi-sensor data fusion”.
Is Rafael Very Expensive As A Fighting Plane To Bear The Cost
If one takes into account the cost of procuring the Rafael, then obviously on the paper it would appear to be very costly. However the kind of a " MULTIFUNCTION " acts does it performs and carries out in a blink of the eye movement it cannot be considered to be expensive but as economical. For example it can be refueled when it is on the flight and when on the fight. It can carry as many as EIGHT types of different missiles beside the ATOM BOMB if you need to use them to destroy yor enemy.
It can HANG itself in the air for a longer duration of time and can choose the opponent's to hit them at the place where they are situated. It has many and many a specialties that taking those into account it cannot be considered to be a expensive affair and an expensive material to invest upon.
That is what this is and that is what makes Rafael a proposition which is UNIQUE
Brilliant idea of the Ministry, the Government and the Air-Force to buy this plane-:
Though it appears to be expensive and very costly but the kind of an operation and the expedition that it can do and it can possess within a blink of  the eye and the kind of economy that it works upon when perorming the multi-tasking , it is FIRST to the BRAINS of the Air-Force personnel's, then the Ministry which was under the guidance of the late Mr Manohar Parrikaar and ofcourse the Hon'ble President of India giving his final nod to buy this one as a CITADEL of the nation's security and ABOVE-ALL the Ministry under Mr Modi , it can be really said that-:
THE DAWN OF INDIA'S SUPERPOWER REIN IN THE ARENA OF MILITARISM HAS TAKEN OFF.
In the days to come it is the DEFENSE-ECONOMY that is going to contributes to the maximum of the nation's GDP and the one who are very strong in terms of the defense strength  will have a great role to play in it.
