The “MAN” who send
the “PATTON TANK” to it’s “ CEMETRY” in 1965 : Abdul Hamid
ONE MAN DEMOLITION
SQUAD , A TRIBUTE TO HIS CHIVALRY
There was a film “ IMTEHAN " that was released in 1974 with
Madam Tanuja and Vinod Khanna in the lead role. What a beautiful movie that
was and WHAT “ TERRIFIC ” acting by Vinod Khanna and ofcourse NOT TO FORGET THE GRACIOUS LEAD LADY OF THE FILM Tanuja.
Well that film had a song sung by Kishoreda ( Mr Kishore
Kumar) The song was Ruk Jana Nahin….
It had the stanza
which reads as follows-:
“ SURAJ DEKH RUK GAYA HAI ,
TERAY AGAY JHUK GAYA HAIN
YOUN HI CHALA CHAL TU DIL KAY SAHARAY, KARTI HAI MANZIL TUJHKO
ISHARAY
DEKH KAHIN KOI ROK NA LAAY , TUJHKOH PUKAR PUKAR KAY “
This film was released in 1974 as said but I think the flavor
of this song it seems was there for the Indian Army to feel the taste of it in
1962 when the Battle of “ ASAL-UTTAR ”
was fought between the Army of Pakistan and India on September 1965.
The man who stole the entire show was a MUSLIM from the state of Bihar and his name was Abdul Hamid
who was a Lance Nail in the Indian Army then.
Dates Very
Confusing-:
“ Actually there are two statistics which tells two different date
for the birth of this man from the Danapur Tehsil of Bihar. One record says that
he was born on July 1st 1933 and the other says that he was born on
July 4th 1933. He was born into a very POOR family which somehow was
residing in a hut which was very close to the railway station at Danapur ” .
Whatever the dates could be this article is a TRIBUTE to that man who was the architect of that war for India as it celebrates it's 55th year of victory celebration today.
Pics - :The "PATTON TANK "
During his childhood, he would see many Soldiers parading at
the British Regimental Centre Of the “ SIKHS ” which
they called it as the Sikh Regimental Centre . He was very much impressed by
the uniforms that the soldiers wore and when they paraded and it was at this
time of his life which made him to
decide that he would join the Indian Army for his job as a soldier.
December 1954
was the year when he joined the Indian Army and he was in the Artiliiery
section of the Army . The first fight that he had to do against the opponent
was when he was send to the Rangoon Border to fight the Nagas infiltrators who
were daily causing much of a disturbance to the Indian Union and it’s territory
which was adjoined and near to China.
In an ambush by the Nagas on a night, he and his two
comrades infact the Indian Soldiers took on the entire bunch of 35
infiltrators of the nagas and 21 of them wwere kileed in a battle with these
three Indian soldiers. Abdul Hamid led the bunch from the front and killed as
many as 21 infiltrators who were all armed with the bombs and
the sophisticated Chinese Machine Guns . This was the FIGHT which turned his mind and the brain into a ROCK-SOLID
element and he ecer since then was a FEARLESS
man with nothing bothering him .
1962 : His First
Fight Againt the People Liberation Army
It was his first ever battle for his country against the
might of the people Liberation Army of China in 1962. He was inducted in the third
phase of the war then against the PLA. With only a RIFLE and no ammunition, he
fought a valiant battle and the dragger or the bonnet as we would like to call
it that is affixed to the gun from where the bullets comes out, he fought
single handedly with many a Chinese Army personnel and killed them.
He pierced his dragger that ws attached to his gun and he
kept on killing people after people of the PLA. A bullet hit him in his arm and
the blood started rolling. That was when he was taking the PLA in his own
customary manner. When the bullet hit him and the blood started coming out A Chinese
Soldier mocked at him. That made his BLOOD
to boil like anything and he in a fit of rage started taking them one by one
and had killed many by piercing the dragger in their body.
Looking him in his most dreadful mood , the Chinese PLA
people started running backwartd and he gave them a chae. In his attempt he
just did not take the cognizance that his feet were without the shoes and
chasing them and killing who so ever came in front of him he covered a lot of
distance on the snow and finally at the point where he fell he found some
Indian soldiers over there stranded with a doctor who was a medic to help the
Army . Looking at his condition, where he was completely out of the sence, and
almost with the life ebbed out of his body, he fell unconscious and the Indian
Army Medic took him under his tutelage. He was injected and was send to the
hospital from where he was discharged after three months of medical aids that
was given to him
Back to his place at Danapur to spend some of his time with
his family , his widow and the only one who was alive in his family, his mother
got him married. After spending a few days with his family and wife he got back
to join the Army.
Abdul Hamid’s Wife
: Dead Against Him To Rejoin His Duty ::
Paltaniya Mut Jao , that was the start of a heated argument that
he and his wife had. Abdul desperately wanted to come back to the duty and start
afresh his life at the asrmy. His wife ws toytally against it. She till the
last moment kept on requesting him saying – PALTANIYA MUT JAO which means do not go back to the Army
squad that fight with the bullets.
Initially Abdul for
some moment as he was married and his wife was very new to his family would
take these kind of words in a coll manner but on the last day when he was
getting ready to leave for his duty to join his posting , on hearing again from
his wife LOST his cool. He reolied in Hindi saying that-: “ PALTANIYA NAHIN JAYENGAY TOH
KYA KHAYENGAY. KHETI-BAADI HAI NAHIN, AUR UDHAR CHEEN GAYE THHEY, MAAR KHAKUR
IZZAT KHOKAR WAPAS AAYE HAI. THOO-THOO HOH RAHA HAI . AISAE MAI IZAAT BHI TOH
BANANA HAI. SUB KEH REHE HAI GAYE AUR THUKAI KHAA KAR AA GAYE ”.
Aray Kuch Toh Lihaaz Karo .
In English it means If I do not go to join my duty in the
Army what is that I’m going to feed you all with. We do not have any land or
the field for agriculture. When I was at China battling with them THEY
SMASHED our RESPECT.
The entire village wherever I go makes a FUN of me saying that you people were
smashed and you havelost all the respect. Everybody is insulting us. At least
you please have some sense to understand the facts and the respect that we
ought to regain that.
He went back leaving his wife and his widow mother at
Danapur to join his duty.
COME SEPTEMBER ::
CAME IN THE PATTON
September 1965 was the time when Pakistan attacked India .
Pakistan before the attack had fortified themselves by taking about FIVE SQUADRONS of SABRE-JET and about 30 PATTON TANK .Patton Tank was ONE such element of ammunition
that the AMERICANS had built and during that time
Pic - : Patton Tank left at the battle field after the Pakistani's had fled , captured by Indians .
The Patton Tank rolled on the chain that wss linked with
each other through and by a cylindrical element which was very hard to break
and it never would break. No bombs and nothing could do any damage to the Tank
and once if rolled it would steam roll everything in front of it and would destroy
everything by it’s tillage .
Pakistan rolled out it’s Patton Tank on September 3rs 1965
from the Nortehrn Sector. There planning was that it would blast and finish
Amritsar and fom there after smashing Punjab it would roll further down to
Delhi. Their Defence Minister then Mr Zulfiquar Ali Bhutto declared- DELHI FATEN KARNA HI HAI which
means DELHI HAS TO BE CONQUERED
.
The Indian Scientist Dr Homi Bhabha then studied the Patton
Tank very carefully and he devised the
idea and the scientific mean to destroy the Patton Tank. This was explained to
the official of the Indian Army, and the unit that was engaged to destroy the
same was explained about how to destroy the Patton Tank.
I would NOT
describe it here in detail as this article would be read by the people WORLD over including the
Pakistani’s and the salient features about what the Indian Scientist discovered
to annihilate and smash the Patton tank and it’s technique I think I should not
reveal them here. The position of the country now as it stands we have to be
very careful about what we write and we should not pass our TRICK of the STRENGTH to the enemies at this time.
Hence that point is something I would NOT
like to write and disclose here .
If my memory recalls me and serves me correctly, Pakistan
flew it’s Sabre Jet on the
night of September 3rd
1965 and it inflicted a heavy bombing in the areas where the Indian
soldiers were posted for the fight but to the LUCK of the Indians the place
where they bombed there was nothing and noting as the placement of the Indian
Army or anything as such. Those tillage’s just did not cause any damage to the
Indian and it’s force.
Keelors’ :
The “ KILLERS ”
Next day again the Sabre Jet in tandem with the movement of
the patton Tank started bombing the Indian post . This time around two of their
Sabre Jets were send to the burial by the Keelor
Brothers. This raised the internal strength and the mental strength of the
Indian Army in such a great manner that the Army waited for the patton tanks to
approach them.
The “ UNIT ” splitted in two :: Abdul Hamid was to lead ONE UNIT to take on the Tanks
After the Sabre Jet were send to the burial, the Indian Army
then posted there created a tunnel to place them by building it overnight, to
take on the Patton Tank . The entire Squad was divided into two unit. One unit
was strategized in a manner where ONE
of the soldier would be up front to take on the Patton Tank with a curved and
arched soldiers behind him to support him from the back to stop the movement of
the Tanks and the other was to keep itself ready to take on the Sabre Jet by
firing on it by the cannons
Strategy : Shell
the Patton Tank By The Heavy Machine Guns :: Abdul Takes The Charge
In the Artilliery where Abdul Hamid was placed and posted
during that time the HEAVY MACHINE
GUNS were introduced into the fighting system of the Indian Army. Abdul
Hamid was ONE of them who was
selected for this training. His aims to very perfect and he would NOT miss the shots at all. That
was the proficiency that he had gathered and expertise himself to the
perfection
When it was decided that the HEAVY MACHINE GUNS would be used to nullify and take on the
moving Pattons, it was Abdul Hamis who came forward to the Commanding Officer
to request that he may be given the chance to lead this pack against the moving
Patton. He was given the charge because of his absolute perfection and his
mastery over the HEAVY MACHINE gun to shoot and make use of it.
He loaded the gun on a jeep and he took his position waiting
for the tanks to approach him. The first platoon of the soldiers of the enemy
with the Tanks played their game on September
5th 1965 if my memory does not fails me. They got the shock
of their life when three of their tanks were put into such a position that the Pakistani’s
who were driving these tanks left the tanks and fled away from the position and
the place.
Thereafter there were two more which was damaged by
Abdul. The result was the same. They left the tank and fled away. By that time two
more Sabre Jet which flew on the air moving up with the Pakistani Patton Tank,
to shell at the places for helping the Pakistani Army attached to the tank to
move up and help the Tank’s moving up, were shot down by the Keelor brothers. THIS
SEND A WAVE OF SHIVERS AND SHOCK TO THE PAKISTANI’S One after one their
TWO MOST trusted ammunition
and weapon the TANKS and the JETS were send to the BURIALS by the Indian Army.
September 10th 1965 was the last when Abdul
breathed here in this earth and the world. In the morning the Pakistani’s with
their Patton Tank and some other Tanks forming an rainbow arch made their
movement in the Indian area. Abdul was equal to the task.He again destroyed a
moving Patton Tank and in an attempt to nullify another, a bomb fell that the
Pakistani fired at his body It fell near to his body,The explosion of the BOMB took away his life . That
was the END of this BRAVE and
a “ GREAT ” soldier who send as many as SIX Patton tank to
the cemetery before he breathed his last
TWO DIFFERENT TALE
: YET “ ONE ” SINGLE MAN FOR PRAISE ::
The Indian Army statistics and record says that Abdul Hamid
had destroyed SIX Pakistani Patton
Tank . However a member of that unit which fought that war with Abdul Hamid, an
Indian Soldier in his article in the “
DHARAMYUG ” dated January 1971 dated January 1-5th, 1971 writes and goes to say that
Abdul Hamid had SMASHED about
21 Tanks of the PATTON and while
taking on the 22nd
he lost his life.
The Pakistani’s deliberately fired on his body the BOMB which he curled and evaded
but as that fell within a distance of two feet from his body, it’s explosion killed
his little hope of whatever he had to save his life. While doing so he saved
the Jeep on which the Heavy machine guns was placed and he did not allow the Pakistani’s
to move even a fraction of an inch from the place where the Indian Army was
controlling the area.
As the Army
statistics says that he smashed and send SIX
Patton Tank I’m putting the figure SIX
here but there are many who have written that he had SEND “ TWENTY-ONE ” Patton Tanks to
the CEMETRY at ASAL UTTAR , making the place ASAL UTTAR as the REAL
ANSWER to the Pakistani’s .
Some “ HAIR – TEARING ” FACTS ABOUT THAT FIGHT AT ASAL-UTTAR
A ) . When Abdul Hamid was given that JEEP to load the HEAVY
MACHINE gun, he was told by the commanding officer to see to it that
the Jeep does not gets destroyed. That was the ONLY one he was given to give it to his unit to use it for
the fight .Destruction to that would mean that NOTHING again will be given to the unit to load the Heavy
machine Guns.
Abdul Hamid more than saving his life saw to it that he
saved the Jeep from getting destroyed and obeyed his Commanding Officer.
B ) > In all he was given only 25 SHELLING units, materials
to hit the Pakistani Tank.He was told that we are fighting with such a NUMBERED and LIMITED arsenal that if ONE
GOES INTO WASTE THEN PERHAPS THAT WILL NEVER BE COMPOUNDED AND COMPENSATED BY
THE TOP OFFICERS So he should Not waste any of the arsenal that was
given to him. Abdul Hamid used TWENTY ONE to send those Patton Tanks in numbers
of twenty one to the cemetery. However the statsitics of the Army put’s it as SIX. So I write six here.
Why I write this here is-:
INSPITE THE LIMITATIONS AND THE CONSTRAINT THAT THESE BRAVE HEARTED
INDIAN LIONS IN THE FORMS OF SOLDIER THAT FIGHTS AND FOUGHT THE WAR- EVERY TIME
OUR MEN IN KHAKI’S WERE “ SHORT ” OF THE AMMUNITION AND ARMS.
Inspite of all th limitations that our Army fought in 1962 and in 1965, in 1965 they sent NINTY FIVE of the Pakistani Tanks in total to the CEMETRY and almost all their Air planes leaving about two squadrons of it as the remainder for inscribing ONE of the most WONDERFUL win for India, then .

This is TO BE “ NOTED ” by the politicians.
“ INSTEAD OF BUILDING THEIR
OWN “ CASTLES ” AND “ PALACE’S ” AT CANADA, US, UK FRANCE AND OTHER PLACE IF
THEY REALLY SPEND ON THE DEFENSE AND PROVIDE ALL THE AMMUNITIONS AND THE ARMS
TO THE INDIAN SOLDIERS – IT WOULD BE BETTER THAT THESE SOLDIERS GET ALL THE
MODERN ARMS IN SUFFICIENT NUMBERS TO MINCE THE ENEMIES AND SEND THEM ie THE
ENEMIES, TO THEIR RESPECTIVE PLACES ” .
This is to be NOTED
by that party which has CREATED a GOLDEN name for creatinbg the “G”
, “2G”, “3G” , the “4G” , “5G” and then the CWG and at last the “
JEEJAJI ” ending that with the ITALIAN “ MATAJI
” and the kind of money that
they have SIPHONED it to their bank’s at abroad .
Also to the POLITICIANS-
if you guys really want to ENJOY
the FRUITS of the POLITICS – “ STOP ” for heaven sake, the - “ DERAILING ” the path of the PROGRESS of making the DEFENSE
very very STRONG.
As I can forsee there is a NEW concept of ECONOMICS that is emerging out in the WORLD in the 21st CENTURY and that is the ECONOMY OF THE WORLD IN THE 21st CENTURY WILL BE DRIVEN BY THE DEFENSE SYSTEMS OF THE WORLD.
This is the NEW
evolvement of the ECONOMICS which I see emerging out, and BETTER if these as we call them-
“
THE SHATURMURG ” of Indian polity realizes it.The QUICKLY they do THE BETTER
Finally the film " INTEHAN " as a film was as beautiful as Abdul Hamid smashing those Patton Tanks and the song that I have depicted here too was a CLASS of it's own . There was another in that film - " ROJ SHAAM AATI THI " sung by Latadi, and that was again a BLOCKBUSTER like the evening of September 10th , 1965 when Abdul Hamid smashed the 6th or maybe the 22nd tank whichever the number had been , that might suits anybody for a NEW SONG to be in scripted for the Indian Army .
