44 Years of WRITING-Journalism
Today on an individual scale, I'm celebrating my 44th year(Golden Jubilee celebration over 4 years) of my involvement in the field of writing.
Forty years ago just after I passed out from my School at the Christ Church Boys' Higher Secondary School at Jabalpur, me , on July 6th 1976 when I had just stepped into my 17th year of age- I took the opportunity to just pen a SHORT article which read as-:
After writing that I posted it to the Canon ,Mr J E Robinson of the school at Jabalpur and requested him to use this article in which ever way he would like it to do that.
This article was published in the CENTENARY SCHOOL MAGAZINE when the school was celebrating its CENTENARY year on November 1st 1976. As the school was celebrating its centenary a very exclusive SOUVENIER was published by the school and each, who were in that school at that point of time were awarded the magazine.
Who so ever has that magazine would still find that article over there. That was the ONLY article selected by the school amongst all the articles that could have been handed to the Principal for publication
Ajay Mrig who was my neighbour at Kamptee Colliery and who also was a student of the school showed it to me then.
The magazine/souvenier also features Asit Guin receiving his prize for the Pagal Gymkhana award beside Deepak Gupta , the CHIEF PRESIDENT , Reliance Industries Limited, at Jamnagar , handing over the School Flag to then the Education Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mr Arjun Singh and both of them were my classmate when I passed out from the school.
Later when I was studying my Science course at the Hislop College at Nagpur, Mr Robinson came upto me at YMCA , where I was staying then as a HOSTELIER, ie , a boarder , to meet me and compliment me for the article but could not meet me as I was away with my cousin who had come to meet me from Pathakhera Colliery at Betul District and we had gone to see the movie Zanjeer at Laxmi Talkies at Nagpur. Mr Robinson had left a note for me and that was the beginning for me to start and take to writing.
That was the first- then came my FIRST article on Gundappa Vishvanath in the Nagpur Times in 1978- which incidentally was my FIRST article on cricket and the ONLY article I wrote In Nagpur Times then on cricket on a Indian cricketer . I later wrote an article on Karsan Ghavri when I started writing for the HITAVADA Nagpur , where I was serving them as Sub-Edito ( Sports ) .
Lot of water has ever since then has flown under the bridge which is built on the river Ganges and a lot has been written by me which also includes a book on cricket, a book on Management and innumerous write up on many a subject on either the website, the sports website the channel website and so on and so forth and now it has changed its shape with me writing POEMS and another feature with my SHAYARI'S which I started to write from the Dhanteras day this ie , from the year 2016, and now I own my personal website from the year June 2019 .
Would not have been possible if C C B H S S and Mr J E Robinson did not publish that article-:
" WHEN SHE COMES" >>>>>>>>
It is an article on how the SLEEP comes in every time whenever I make an desperate attempt to study for the Physics paper for my exam......... and when she comes........ she comes like a BEAUTIFUL ANGEL to take away my mind from the studies to the REALMS of the SLEEP and dream.........
That was my FIRST write up/ Article at the age of 17 then.......
Those who still have preserved that SOUVENIER can enjoy it.
Well , that is it
Regards and Thanks
