INDIAN NAVY DAY :: Dream Of Chattrapati  Maharaj Shivali Comes True

Navy Day in India

One of the most reverred Defense Force and it is one of the best that guards the Indian territory expediting their duty from the water , maybe the Ocean, Sea or otherwise the Indian Navy has so far so long come a great big way to the succor of the defense of India and the Navy in the war against Pakistan in 1965, and especially in 1971 when they bombarded the Karachi Port to completety make it ineffective for either Pakistan to receive any goods from abroad or to send anything abroad went in a long way to earmark the Indian victory though the other two unit of the Indian Dfense, the Army and the Air Force did play their major role in it.

Indian Navy :: Established at the appropriate time

On 15 August 1947, Rear Admiral JTS Hall, RIN, was appointed as India's first Flag Officer Commanding Royal Indian Navy. With India becoming a Republic on 26 January 1950, the prefix  'Roya l' was dropped and it was rechristened as the Indian Navy.

Navy day in India is observed on 4th of December every year to celebrate the magnificence, and the MAGNIFICIENT , achievements and role of the naval force to the country. Indian Navy is the marine branch (means naval branch) of the India’s armed forces which led by the President of India as a Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Navy.

Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj :: Father Of Indian Navy

The Maratha emperor, Chhatarpati Shivaji Bhosle of the 17th century is considered as “ Father of the Indian Navy ”. He was the one who then when Aurangazeb who wabted to completely take over the South Of India through Maharashtra was interrupted by Shivaji Maharaj who did it by putting the cannons on the boat and allowing the boats to flow on the entire river at various places from where it  was envisaged that the Mughal Army can cross into Maharashtra and from there would move forward to South to establish it’s rule and it’s supremacy. This was the tactics which Shivaji Maharj adopted to prevent the entire of India to go under the domain of the Mughals.

Thus it was the FIRST real experiment to demonstrate the power of the SHIVAJI-NAUSENA that they called it then and from here the concept of the Naval power and it’s importance had come to the beings to add it to the flexing arms of the defense in any part of the World and thus came the concept and the  adaptation of the Indian Navy here at India.

Role Of The Indian Navy

Navy of the India plays a great role in securing the marine borders of the country as well as enhancing the international relations of India through many ways like seaport visits, joint exercises, humanitarian missions, calamity relief and etc. Modern Indian navy has as undergone speedy renovation in order to improve the position of navy to the Indian Ocean region.

The Strength Of The Indian Navy

The Indian Navy has gone from the STRENGTH to the STRENGTH and it is considered to be ONE-OF-THE-FOUR-POWERFUL- NAVAL -  STRENGTH of the WORLD. It is NOT possible and one should NOT and NEVER declare the strength of these kind of the NATIONAL ASSET without the permission and I would NOT do it here. However  and whatever the kind of statistics that have been declared by the various news agencies , for which they ought to be responsible for publishing it, the real strength of the Indian Navy is much more than what the various news agaencies have so far published as India has added many and many fleets to it’s arm, but

according to  an agency report which ofcourse is a old record, very old if we compare it to the real strength, the report, the strength of the Indian Navy includes of 58,350 personnel, an aircraft carrier, a big transport dock, 15 frigates, 8 guided missile destroyers, 24 corvettes, 13 conventional submarines, 1 nuclear attack submarine, 30 patrol vessels, 7 mine countermeasure vessels including variety of auxiliary ships.

Navy Day 2020 and it’s celebration

Navy Day 2020 in India would be celebrated at Friday , on 4th of December.

India would celebrate the 46th  anniversary of the Indian navy this year (2020) on 4th of December in order to remember the daredevil attack on the naval base of Pakistan, at Karachi. In order to celebrate this occasion, the Western Naval Command of the Indian navy (headquarter is Mumbai) bring their ships and sailors for making the celebration excellent.

All the activities which to be conducted on the celebration of the event are planned by the Eastern Naval Command at Visakhapatnam. Wreath laying ceremony is held at the war memorial (at RK Beach) followed by the operational demonstration to show the potential and resourcefulness of the naval submarines, ships, aircrafts and unique forces. Various aircrafts are shown by flying over the RK Beach that’s why people are requested by the authorities to keep the beach clean and litter free (avoid throwing food items) to keep away the birds in that particular area for smooth demonstration of the aircraft (as presence of birds in the sky because of food items may cause hazards to the aircraft).

Why Navy Day is Celebrated

Navy Day in India is celebrated to commemorate the courageous attack on the Karachi harbor during the Indo-Pakistan war (at 4th of December in the year 1971) by the Indian Naval Missile boats as well as to reverence all the martyrs of that war. It is celebrated using a particular theme (like “Safe Seas and Secure Coasts for a strong Nation”) of the year for making it more powerful and potent.

A community service for the Navy of India is conducted by the Naval Institute of Aeronautical Technology (NIAT) from 24th of November to the 26th of November at Good Hope Old Age Home, Fort Kochi in which the students from the Navy Children School Chair take parts to entertain the inmates and Naval doctors (from INHS Sanjivani) provides medical checkup to the inmates. Navy Ball, Navy Queen contests including the Navy fest are held to celebrate the Navy Day.

At this day the warships and aircrafts of the Indian naval are open to the visitors such as school children. The Military Photo Exhibition is also performed by photojournalists of the Ernakulum in the Navy fest.
