Baba Sahab
Ambedkar ::The Architect Of Constitution Of India
Baba Sahib Ambedkar is known to the entire population and
the entire mass of India as the ARTCHITECHTURE of the Constitution of India.
He was born as the 14th son Of Mr Ramji at
Ambavade village of Ratnagiri District , of Maharashtra. He was born on April
14th 1891. His full name was Bheemrao Ramji Ambawadekar .His
teacher’s who were so impressed by his
brilliance , gave his surname to him , and told him , “ HENCEFORTH YOUR NAME WOULD BE BHEEMRAO RAMJI
AMBEDKAR “ . From that day onward, Bheemrao Ambawadekar became Baba Sahab
Bheemrao Ambedkar .
Even while studying at school, he happened to know the
feeling of the HIGH and ther LOW , which was deep rooted in the society and
felt very bad about them . Untouchability then , was a social evil and people
belonging to a higher society and class used to harass men who happened to have
taken birth in a low class caste. Mr Ambedkar was very much disturbed and sad as well as upset about this unhealthy
atmosphere that existed at India then
and felt very sorry for the affairs, then .
Mr Ambedkar studies at the Elphinstone College and he
pursued his studies in Arts.He received his Degree feom that College while
studying in that College then, and then he secured a job under the patronage of
the Highness of the Maharaja of Baroda and then he went to America, and finally
he returned to India in 1917 with his Ph.D .He then at India got a job of a
Higher merit .later he went to London and returned as a Barrister.
He had decided to abolish the untouchability that existed
here at India. This was a kind of a disease which had existed at India for
many, a centuries. During that time, there was a rule. That was the untouchable
should not drink the water that was meant for the higher class of people, and
there were many a district at Maharashtra then, which prohibited the
untouchables to drink the water from such a well or tank .
He one day drew the water from the tank from where the
untouchables were not allowed to drink water, and declared that the rules are
equal for everybody and one cannot drive the lower caste out from their society
from many a social factors like bathing in the same river or rivulets, or
drinking water from the same well. This brought him many a problems and he was
also declared untouchable, and since he came from the MAHAR community which
actually is a community which is too low in social standing, he also received many physicalities from the
upper section of the society.
He one day entered a Temple, the VEERESHWARA TEMPLE and
declared that those who are considered as the untouchables, can also enter the
temple. Thereafter a court case was
registered against him, but he fought the case and the verdict was declared
that the Temples and the wells as well as the tanks or the rivers are the
public properties and anyone can drink water from it or can enter any temples
to offer their prayers.
India To Be Freed
From It’s Internal “ SLAVERY ”
Baba Sahab Ambedkar participated in the Round table
Conference in 1931 which was held at London . In that Conference he spoke in a
glittering manner about the untouchability that existed here at India .These he
said that were called as HARIJANS and argued that they should also be allowed
to exercise their franchisee rights and the right to elect their leaders.
It has to be noted here while the other Indian leaders at
the ROUND TABLE CONFERENCE
were talking about the Freedom of India this Gentleman was talking all about
the SLAVERY with the SLAVERY that the Britishers had exercised at India, and
all about to abolish the SLAVERY which was a bane to the Indian society, it’s
heritage, culture and it’s history and that slavery FIRST was to be demolished
within the country before the Britishers would think of giving India it’s
right- the FREEDOM .
Ambedkar also by then had become a famous Labour leader, and
an advocate of repute .Indian jurist , Social worker , politicians , writer,
educationalists, emancipator of the untouchables, and crusader for Social
justice. Dr B.R Ambedkar became the first Minister for Law of the Independence
India. He assisted in formulating the constitution of India.
Dr Bheem Rao sahib
Ambedkar :: The MODERN Man Of India.
He worked hard, day and night, to write the CONSTITUTION OF INDIA .He served
as a CHAIRMAN of the Constitution Assembly. The Constitution was drawn up by
the Assembly initially summoned on December 9th 1946 .
The Constitution was finally adopted on November 26th
1949 . It came into effect on January 26th 1950. After this Constitution was laid down he was
then called and named as MODERN MAN OF INDIA. He afterwards devoted his life for the emancipation
of th Harijans.
He embraced BUDDHISM on October 14th 1956 for the
peace of mind and participated in the WORLD BUDDHIST CONFERENCE which was held
at Sri – Lanka ( then Ceylon ) .He later wrote some books on Harijans and
Buddhism as well.
He worked so hard to eliminate and finish the Cate system
and he won some award from the world who supported his work on the subject.
He passed away on December 6th 1956. His birth anniversary ws celebrated on a
large scale and then in 1991 the Government of India conferred him the BHARAY
RATNA which is the NATION’S HIGHEST CIVILIAN AWARD .
Inspite of doing so much for India on the national and the
International front, this GREAT SOUL was denied of the HIGHEST national award
because all his lifetime his deeds and his service to the nation never met the
eye of a family of India who were always opposed to his contribution to this
GREAT nation.
It was the Prime Minister, Narsimha Rao who advocated to
confer him with this award and thus he was conferred with this award….
That was this GREAT
SOUL , the GREAT MAN.
Well , that is it and That sums it all.
Regards and Thanks
