April 6th :: The RE-ESTABLISHMENT Of The PRINCIPLE Of " HINDUTVA " And The Foundation Of The Bhartiya Janata Party
The largest party , a
political entity I terms of a party, the Bhartiya Janata Party is celebrating
it’s 41st Birthday today.
This party was
restructured on April 6th. The previous name of this party was
JANSANGH and it was founded by Mr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, the son of Mr
Aushutosh Mukherjee who is considered to be a REFORMER of Indian politics by the manner and way of EQUALISM and ECONOMICS-ISM .
Formation and the current Scenario Of the Party - ::
Jansangh was formed by
Mr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee after he came out from the Congress as he could not
meet his eye with Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. He was holding a very important
portfolio in the Cabinet Ministry of Mr Nehru then, but his principles did not
meet the eye with Mr Nehru and thus he came out of the Congress Party and
floated the JANSANGHA PARTY .
This party on April 6th 1980 was rechristened and restructured as the
BHARTIYA JANATA PARTY and
thus it is 41 years long that this party has gone to become the LARGEST party in the political
circle, with not only the largest numbers of the followers but also in terms of
the largest number of representation .
That Has Been A Long Way - ::
The party that is
currently the largest political party in India, both in terms of representation
in parliament, and in terms of party membership, has come a long way since its
origins in the early 1980s. Overcoming several obstacles and failures, the BJP
has at present formed a robust footing in the Indian political scenario, and
significantly overturned the ideological framework that drove India’s national
and international policies for a long time.
While the BJP was
formed on April 6, 1980, its
ideological origins can be dated back to 1951 when Congress politician Shyama
Prasad Mukherjee broke away from Nehru’s leadership to form the Bhartiya Jana
Sangh (BJS). The party was formed in collaboration with the Hindu nationalist
organisation, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), in opposition to the
political practices of the Congress party.
Preservation Of The Hindu Identity - ::
The mandate of the BJP
was the preservation of Hindu identity and culture. Founded at a time when
the Indian National
Congress was practically the face of Indian politics, the BJS
could barely be successful in its initial years since. In the 1952 general
elections, the BJS could win only 3
Lok Sabha seats.
In 1975 when Prime
Minister Indira Gandhi imposed Emergency on the country, members of the BJS
held strong protests against the Congress regime. After the withdrawal of
the Emergency, the BJS collaborated with a number of other parties and formed
the Janata Party. When
general elections were held in 1977, the Janata Party won a majority and formed
the government at the centre with Morarji Desai as the Prime Minister. However,
due to political disagreements within the party, Morarji Desai was forced to
resign in 1980 and a fresh set of elections held. The Janata Party dissolved
soon after, and a large number of its members who were previously members of
BJS formed the BJP.
The ESSENCE And The “ CORE
” IDEALISM Of “ HINDUISM ”
Hinduism is based on
these principles of life-::
1 ). Hinduism believes
that LIFE also is there on the stones. That is why we have the IDOLS of so many
GOD and GODDESS in Hindu’s to depict and describe it . This is one reason in
all the Temples the various GOD and GODDESS of HINDUS are erected and placed
for the believers and the pious people to worship them
2). Hinduism believes
in WATER and it is the WATER that provides and safeguards the life. This is ONE reason
that the RIVERS are worshipped by the Hindus and whenever the rivers are
worshipped the MILK is poured into the river that is worshipped because it is
believed that the MILK will remain in the universe till the rivers remains in
the universe with it’s water full.
3). Milk is considered
as the WHOLESOME FOOD, and not a DRINK at all. After the Mother, it is the COW
that provides the MILK which acts as an wholesaome food. That gives and keeps
the LIFE intact. This is one reason that the COWS are worshipped by the HINDUS.
4). The TREE providews
us the shelter, it provides us the AIR to breathe and live healthy, it provides
us the fuels for cooking food which is very essential for living. Thus , this is
the reason that the TRESS are worshipped by the HINDUS and the most common
example is the PLANTATION of the TULSI plant in all the households and the
houses of the Hindus and it is worshipped.
The TULSI represent a
SINGLE structure of all the PLANTS and the TREES that are available on the
EARTH and thus it is worshipped by the HINDUS for this reason.
5 ) . The HINDUS are the ONLY one who worship
the BOOKS, PEN, and all STUDY material.
The SARASWATI MAA POOJA is the CLASS EXAMPLE of
the same. .The HINDU worship the
GIRLS ie the " KANYAS " as we call them. The example of the Durga
Pooja where on the last day the toddler ie the small kiddy girls are worshipped
which we call it a KANYA-POOJA.
The “ LOTUS ” As A
ETERNAL SYMBOL OF THE “ BJP ”
When this party was formed
a lot of sense went into the act of
choosing the SYMBOL for the party. Initially the symbol the LAMP was discarded.
The lamp was the symbol of the Bhartiya Jana Sangha .It was
based on the principle of ANTODHYAYA. “ ANTH ” means the END of it, and ODAHYAYA actually means the
REVIVAL of the last one which is available to get or receive the help for it’s
survival. With that essence in mind the LAMP then was chosen as a symbol of the
party, then, . That was it.
However with the CONCEPT
of HINDUISM and the ESSENCE that went into the same, when the NEW name BHARTIYA
JANATA PARTY was established, the BHARTIYATA ie the INDIANISM and the HINDUISM
was taken into consideration, and the SYMBOL , the “ LOTUS ” was
considered and accepted by one and
sundry , as the symbol of the party. It is connected to the eternity, and it is connected to the humanity in a manner that without the flower LOTUS, no worship can take place. This is actually the SYMBOL that it represent for the party and that stands and identifies this party as a WHOLE.
The LOTUS represents all
the salient features of the points that I have described above , which are the BELIEF and the CULT- ESSENCE of
the Hindusism, and it is that for every GOD and the GODDESS , the LOTUS is the
flower which are held by them which carries the essence, and the essentialities
of HINDUISM and thus the symbol LOTUS of the party simply means IT IS A PARTY
WHICH ENCOMPASSES EVERYBODY, AND EVRYTHING WHICH MAKES AND WHICH GOES WITH
LIFE.
The LOTUS remains ABOVE
the SLUSH and the MARSH always to hold the essence of HUMANISM and that infact
the symbolic representation of the party. It is a party which stands for the
RISE in the HUMANISM , for the HUMAISM and by all the means of the HUMANISM.
That actually is the symbol of the party that it stands for.
BJP Took A Softer View And Stand Right From It’s Inception - ::
Immediately following
its inception, the BJP maintained a softer position on Hindu nationalism,
founding its ideological base in Gandhian socialism under party president Atal
Bihari Vajpayee. However, after the massive defeat of the party in the 1984
elections, the BJP decided to make amends to its political doctrine.
This was the party,
FIRST , to run a Government by holding 23 different parties, with different ideologies
and it ran it for six years under the astute leadership of Atal Behari
Vajapayee.
Because of it’s difference
with the other parties it lost it’s ground in 2004 and 2009, but again the
PRINCIPLES of HINDUISM, and the LOGIC of HUMANISM of ANTHODAYA and SERVE-ALL
– CONFIDE-IN-ALL made it come very strongly from 2014 and the way
it is inching ahead it appears very safely that it is inching in the best
possible manner to hold it’s rein for a very long duration of time. It is Mr Narendra Modi who made it , what we see it as , " SUBKA SAATH, SUBKA VISHVAAS, SUBKA VIKAS "
When the general
elections were held in 2014, the BJP made a sweeping victory upholding Narendra
Modi’s image as its prime ministerial candidate and the successes he achieved
in Gujarat as its Chief Minister. At present, the stronghold maintained by the
party in central and state governments, is
largely derived from the popularity of the prime minister, also referred to as
the ‘Modi wave’.
The Rise And The Rise Of " BJP" As A Political party
That in nutshell is
the story of the Bhartiya Janata Party and the success that it holds as a
political party and as an entity, which could be assumed and construed as a political entity. .
Well , that is it and That sums it all.
Regards and Thanks
