THE EARTH DAY :: An Attempt To restore The earth

Here at The Old Farmer’s Almanac, we believe that nature, plants, and the land are integral to our own health and that individual responsibility lies with each of us.

Earth Day 2021 will mark the 51st anniversary of this holiday. Typically, Earth Day is assigned a different theme or area of focus each year; this year’s theme is “Restore Our Earth.”

River Cleansing :: How Far It Has Been Succesful

India did lay an example first to mark and to give full meaning and a structure tto bring about a change in this sphere of earth Day when Infdia announced the total cleansing of River Ganga which is the MOTHER of all that believes in the dieties of India.

Most years, Earth Day events range from river cleanups to removals of invasive plants. With social distancing still in place for many of us this April, Earth Day has gone digital. Virtual events, such as environmental lectures and films, will take place on Earth .Of course, social distancing doesn’t mean that you can’t go outside and enjoy nature, as long as you do so responsibly! Nature is not canceled!

WHAT IS EARTH DAY?

Ever wonder how Earth Day began? The first Earth Day was held on April 22, 1970, when San Francisco activist John McConnell and Wisconsin Senator Gaylord Nelson separately asked Americans to join in a grassroots demonstration. Dealing with dangerously serious issues concerning toxic drinking water, air pollution, and the effects of pesticides, an impressive 20 million Americans—10% of the population—ventured outdoors and protested together.

President Richard Nixon led the nation in creating the Environmental Protection Agency, which followed with successful laws including the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, and the Endangered Species Act.

McConnell originally had chosen March 20, 1970, but Nelson chose April 22, which ended up becoming the official celebration date. Today, not only is Earth Day a day meant to increase awareness of environmental problems, but it is also becoming a popular time for many communities to gather together to clean up litter, plant trees, or simply reflect on the beauty of nature. Further down the page, we’ve provided a list of activities and projects that you can do to improve your local environment!

For the next 50 years, Earth Day has played an important role in environmental activism.

The landmark Paris Agreement, which brings almost 200 countries together in setting a common target to reduce global greenhouse emissions, was signed on Earth Day 2016.

This year, Earth Day celebrations have arrived while the world is facing the novel coronavirus pandemic. The UN said on its website, “Climate change, man-made changes to nature as well as crimes that disrupt biodiversity, such as deforestation, land-use change, intensified agriculture and livestock production or the growing illegal wildlife trade, can increase contact and the transmission of infectious diseases from animals to humans (zoonotic diseases) like COVID-19.”

United Nations Environment said on its website, “An occasion planned to bring people physically together across a series of events, COVID-19 has now prompted a dramatic shift to completely digital and virtual platforms. Earth Day 2020 calls for 24 hours of actions, big and small, for people and the planet.

“On this 50th anniversary, civil society organizers hope to fill the world’s digital landscape with global conversations, positive acts, performances, webinars and events supporting urgent action on climate change,” the statement added.

How Can The Earth Day Made More Forceful In India

In the last 70 years, the conspiracy has been stopped to plant peepal, banyan and neem trees at the government level. These three trees give the most  amount oxygen and100 % of peepal  trees are the carbon dioxide is absorber,  the banyan absorbs it by  80 % and neem  by 75 % .

Eucalyptus Tree :: Useless and Water Absorber

Of recent it has been absorbed that the Government of India has started giving a lot of importance to the Eucalyptus trees .This is detrimental for everything including the earth as well as the water level below the crust of the earth. Now the government has kept distance from these trees and instead started planting foreign eucalyptus which makes the land waterless .

Planting this eucalyptus tree was started in Rajiv Gandhi's era. Eucalyptus, Gulmohar and other ornamental trees have taken over everywhere today. Now when there is no refresher in the atmosphere, the heat will increase and when the heat will increase, the water will fly away like steam. If a peepal tree  is planted at every 500 meter distance, India will be pollution free in the coming few years.

Another Piece Of Information - ::

Well let's give you another information. Peepal leaf panel is more and thinner, due to which the leaves keep moving even in cool weather and give clean oxygen.

In many backward areas in many backward regions of India, , the peepal banyan is also spread to plant half trees. This work is mostly done by Christians, whereas in Indian culture the  mango,  bamboo , peepal, basil, banana, banyan the  aak tree, are considered to be the best suited options, and these trees actually absorbs the least amount of water and it maintains the water level under the crust of the earth to the maximum whilw keeping the environment cool, and fresh releasing sufficient oxygen which is about enough to help the people to maintain the health and keep them in fine mettle.Planting trees like “ Dhak ” is considered to be the reason for wealth, glory, health and happiness of children.

Peepal is called the  " KING "  of trees.

Why Is The NATIONAL TREE PLANTATION VERY NECCESSARY - ::

It is imperative and it is very necessary , that the NATIONAL TREE PLANTING SCHEME start, as quickly as possible. There are varied reason for the same but the PRIME of it is the ENVIRONMENT AND GLOBAL WARNING .

The Global warming is not only shrinking the RIVULETS all over the World and India, but it is melting the glaciers, the Alps, and the mountains which are composed and constituted by the ICE and the ICE-BERG. The dangerous is the HIMALAYA.

Over the period, the Himalaya and it's height has started receding and shrinking by bits. It is because the global warming has started melting the mountain and the molten ice has started flowing down. THIS IS A WARNING BELL.

A temperature over 5 degree if compared to it's normalcy , will melt the ice in an manner that the water flow will become very hard for the one's to face the wrath that will emerge out of it. This will KILL many and many and the neighbouring countries that is connected with India, viz, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Sri-Lanka will be totally catastrophe to the destructive end. This will be very hard to control then.

This would happen in the Artic and the Antartic, in the places where there are such mountains and the continents of America and the Europe too will face disaster. This would be a total disaster for the world .

IT IS BETTER ALL THE WORLD LEADER TAKE THE COGNISANCE OF THE DSAME AND START WORKING TOWARD THE SAME.....

Things worth doing now ~ The National Trees Plantation Scheme

Let  an effort and a scheme be followed by the Government of India to plant as many as possible, the Peepal trees and the other trees under the National Tree Plantation Scheme plant these life-giving trees as much as possible and try to avoid planting the eucalyptus.

Government also should intensify the forest conservation campaign and speed up the campaign of planting worshipable and air purifier trees like Neem,  Paya ,Bad, Peepal, Mango and Banana and Tulsi.

Let us all save our ′′ India ′′ from natural disasters

Well, That Is All About This Day and That sums up the entire article in short.

Well , that is it and That sums it all.

Regards and Thanks
