INTERNATIONAL DAY OF DEMOCRACY :: Sustainable Development -- A Plan For Achieving A Better Future For All

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF DEMOCRACY - :: Of The People, For The People, By The People To Sustainable Development Of The People

" Of the people, For the people and By the people " - this was that which was the actual seed that was sown as the SEED OF DEMOCRACY by Mr Abraham Lincoln, the President Of The United States Of America and this seed that grew into a huge big tree thereafter laid out the democratic plans based on this principle for the world at large and world over.
Democracy started it's process of germination at all over the world but in between the democracy . some faces of autocracy, some faces of dictatorship and some faces that could be termed as the mix of the autocracy and dictatorship started surfacing and the world saw ther nadir of the same. The likes of Idi Amin and Pot Pol of the recent and modern era and the one's that we know by the names of Mussolini and Hitler were there for all to read or see and write about them. In between we had the mix of autocracy and dictatorship which we did see in Madam Indira Gandhi, and the likes of the same .
Democracy started losing it's grip maybe in a small manner or maybe in a much larger manner as some part of the world still was witnessing the ROYALS ruling the nation. At some place the votings are never held eeven now as tjhe linage of the royals rules those nation, maybe tiny or small, maybe big and in some other part of the World ONR FAMILY was ruling all over like the Saddam Hussein or even Colonel Gaddafi who are no more THANKS to the US. Now in the name of democracy we do see the Taliban's taking it over . Well these are the various forms of hilarious democracy as we might like it to call it.
September 15th , 2015 :: An Important Day That relates To Democracy-::
" In September 2015, all 193 Member States of the United Nations, to give it a new meaning to the democratic form of the Government all over the world, adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development -- a plan for achieving a better future for all, laying out a path over 15 years to end extreme poverty, fight inequality and injustice, and protect our planet ".
At the heart of the Agenda are the Sustainable Development Goals, which call for mobilizing efforts to end all forms of poverty, fight inequalities and tackle climate change, while ensuring that no one is left behind.
Democracy as an attempt for Governance was made to come under the aegis of development was implemented in terms of the plans for development of the people, to develop the society that makes the people and to develop the nation for it's all round growth so that the economy and the means of sustainability gets more and more stronger and it builds about a strong world for the mankind and the human beings to survive. It was all for the people, of the people and by the people to understand the democracy in a meaningful manner and to work for the essence of it rather than being autocracies, domineering , dictator , or being a one-man-show which in the long run, affecting the growth in a substantial manner.
The new goals result from a process that has been more inclusive than ever, with Governments involving business, civil society and citizens from the outset. Now, the task of implementing and monitoring the Sustainable Development Goals requires States to work in close partnership with civil society. Parliaments in particular have a critical role in translating the new sustainable development agenda into concrete action through passing legislation, making budget allocations and holding governments accountable.
Speaking at the Inter-Parliamentary Union's Fourth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament, Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon commended the parliamentarians of the world for the valuable role they played in shaping the new framework. He also underscored that their contribution to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda will be equally critical: “People will look to you to hold your governments accountable for achieving the goals, and to write the laws and invest in the programmes that will make them a reality,” he said, noting that democratic principles also run through the entire document “like a silver thread.”
Sustainable Development Goal 16 addresses democracy by calling for inclusive and participatory societies and institutions. It aims to “Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels.”
The Goal is both an end in itself and a crucial part of delivering sustainable development in all countries. It has been seen by many commentators as the transformational goal and key to ensuring that the Agenda can be accomplished.
This is the importance of the day .

Well , that is it and That sums it all.

Regards and Thanks
