The Super “ CDS ” And His Death :: It Is A Huge Big Loss To Indian Defense , Indian Sports And India
The Super “ CDS ” And His Death :: It Is A Huge Big Loss To Indian Defense , Indian
Sports And India
Certain dates are
very important and as such October 16th 2015 is one of those of a
date which is something I would not like to forget. I was at New Delhi Airport
waiting for the Indian Airlines plane to fly me to Bangalore from New Delhi. I
was seated at a place eagerly waiting for the announcement for me to get inside
my plane. The wait was making me restless.
All of a sudden I saw Mr Bipin Rawat at the place somewhat
about 50 metres from me at the lounge at the place where I was seated. Watching
him I could not resist myself and I rushed toward him . SALUTE RAWAT SAHAB , I
did it with my chest bulged out. This is a kind of salute that an Army man does
to salute his Senior when he is not in the Army dress with the cap on. He was
surprised to see me doing that and he in reciprocation as well and bulged his chest
out.
I just requested him that I wanted to talk to him only for
FIVE minutes if he permits, and his reply was – PAANCH KYON , AUR ZYADA BHI HOH
SAKTA HAI, which means why FIVE, it can be more.
Without wasting any minutes he ordered tea for us at the
airport and with him beside his security staff who had come to see him off, was
his wife who also now is no more.
Well when the conversation started , I just told him- Rawat Sahab,
Services once upon a time were the National Champion in boxing for 23
consecutive years, they were the Basketball champion of India for about 23
years in succession, beside they won the National Hockey title many a times. WHY
IS THAT THE SPORTS IN SERVICES HAS GONE TO THE BRINKS AND WHY NOT BRING SERVICES BACK INTO THE FRAY AS A TOP
SPORTS UNIT OF THIS COUNTRY.
Listening to me he just asked me- CAN YOU OF ALL THE SERVICE OR THE DEFENSE SPORTSMAN, NAME ONLY ONE
WHO COULD BE REGARDED AS THE BEST EVER SPORTSMAN FROM THE SERVICES AND COULD BE
THE BEST IN THE WORLD TO NAME HIM AS ONE?.
Major Dhyanchand I replied- and there was a bright spark in
his eye. That is what the Indian Services, ie, the Indian defense is all about
he replied . The Indian defence be it individual or be it as a unit IS THE BEST HE HAD ANSWERED. If it is not
there at moment, it is because we are very busy at first to completely
strengthen our internal citadel as well as the external and once I do away with
that, I have a idea in my mind to completely rehaul the Services Hockey, Boxing
and Athletics he said.
We are passing through such a very bad time, both facing
regular threat at the border as well as within the country with so many
traitors he said, that it is very important for the top most Défense Officers ,
first to completely strengthen our border and also our internal security so
that WE FACE THE TWO-AND-A-HALF
contest if it ever rise.
The talks thereafter with him was he explaining more about
why as such that at present the Sports of the Services , ie, Indian defense has
taken a dip and it was all about pushing the Jawans more at the border to
diffuse the escalations and once done away with it- I personally will see that
our Athletics, Hockey as well as Boxing becomes a major force not only at India
but at the world he quipped.
I just told him that beside Major Dhyanchand , there were
Milkha Singh, Makhan Singh, the only Indian to defeat Milkha Singh, and I took
some more names, including Colonel Hemu Adhikari who was an Indian cricketer
from Services who made India proud of their achievement in various sports. What brought the spark in his eyes' were the name Leslie Fernandes, Michael Kindo, Ajit Pal Singh ( B.S.F ), Shivaji Pawar and Harcharran Singh and Harjinder Singh Chimni, , all the members of the Indian Hockey team that had won the World Cup on March 15th 1975 at Kuala Lumpur- the " PENTAGON " of the Servicemen who helped India to win that World Cup Hockey on that day , India's only success in World Cup Hockey till date. Harjinder Singh Chimni did not play even a single game and hence I'm not including his name in the same.
While sipping tea, he wanted to know as a LEARNER about what
was in terms of ammunition that was more needed for India and his
inquisitiveness came out as a spark to know more when I told him that once upon
a time I too was a Journalist. I just said to him that I was happy to hear that
Rafael was coming to India, though there are many alarms raised by the various
parties about it’s price but as, he had opined that we would have to fight the Two And A Half battles if there is a war or a battle at one
stretch, we might have to add another similar kind of air fighter
planes-cum-bomber just as Rafael to have a parallel support if in case if it is
needed beside having the S-400 about which I had read in the journals then
without knowing much about it’s technical superiority and he while listening was
very glued to my voice to learn and understand more.
THIS WAS A QUALITY THAT HAD
DRAWN ME MORE TO HIM AS A PERSON BESIDE BEING AN ARMY MAN.
The hallmark of a GREAT person is HE LISTENS MORE to pick the finer points from them and
speaks less and this is wat he was doing while talking to me. Whatever I had
learned by reading it all about S-400 was that I spoke to him and he was listening
it with rapt attention.
Pic - :: We Would " NOT " Be The " FIRST " To Fire, But If Fired Upon , We Will Forget The Counts Of The Bullets
WHERE DID YOU GET TO KNOW ABOUT S-400 HE QUIZZED AND I REPLIED THAT
BY READING A JOURNAL WHICH WROTE ALL ABOUT S-400 IN THE GOOGLE.
The Day-
December 8th 2021 :: I Still
Cannot Find Me In A Position Of Stabilty
As it happened, on December 8th, I was thoroughly
busy talking to Ashok Kumar all about Hockey for my book of Hockey which I’m
writing it now. All of a suden I got a phone call from my wife saying that CDS
Mr Rawat and his crew that were flying in an helicopter had crashed and almost all were dead.
SHUT UP I TOLD- and I kept the phone. My mind could not
digest the idea which I had head from my wife. Five minutes after a very close
and intimate friend of mine also rang me up and echoed the same view. GET
LOST MAN, I REPLIED .
I had by then lost the control over my mind and I switched
the Zee TV , number 511.There was a lady anchor who was continuously airing the
same view. IDIOTS ALL, I TOLD TO MYSELF.
Thereafter at about ten on that day during the night when in
every TV programme they were all discussing all about the helicopter’s smash , that somehow I started believeing that maybe
there was an accident but maybe Mr Rawat was alive. But when I heard Sudhir
Choudhury too talking the same and the crash I had decided that it is time to
believe that Mr rawat is no more.
CDS Mr Rawat- He
Was A Terror In PATIENCE With A Mind of
TILLAGE Full With DESTRUCTION As An IDEA To Vanquish The Enemies
Having joined the defense Force of India and having started
from the Gorkha Brigade, Mr Rawat was actually a GROUND LEVEL Army Officer who
spent most of the time on the ground which included the neutralization of the insurgencies
that he was a part of the Indian defence force and he had many a role to
diffuse the insurgencies at places like Nagaland, Manipur and on the Indo –
Burma ( Myanmaar now ) border . His tact
and his knack to learn the enemies fast, and then plot the hatch to diffuse
them , finally vanquish them had earned him many sobriquets . Fully attached to
the level of ground retaliations and plotting the graphs of the death to
vanquish the enemies and instilling a fear in their mind about not to repeat
the same was something in which he had obtained a mastery.
His enemies called him the WHISPERING DEATH and to them He Was A Terror In PATIENCE With A Mind of TILLAGE Full With DESTRUCTION As An IDEA To The Enemies and he showed NO pitti-ance or any pittance to his enemies.
He infact had studied
the entire weakness of the enemies well within our country and the plot to
vanquish them if they rose to finish the internal fabrication and it’s
strength, beside plotting all the high end grades of vanquishing technique at
the border definitely had snatched the sleep from all the countries at the
border which always was planning to
overthrow India into oblivions.
His work and the strategy was snatching away all the sleep of his enemies across the border who are the enemies of India as well. His famous words-:
" We Would " NOT " Be The " FIRST " To Fire, But If Fired Upon , We Will Forget The Counts Of The Bullets " were something which was like a WHISPERING DEATH that had shook the enemies of India across the border. He was very confidence personified of whatever he spoke and his words meant BUSINESS and that actually he was.
OBLIVIOUSLY THEY ALWAYS FOUND Mr RAWAT AS A CRUSHING WHEEL TO GRIND
THEM TO DEATH.
On October 15th, 2015 when I was talking to him, during
our conversation , I just had said him that we also need to increase the unit
strength of our defence forces by 50 % as you said that if we have to fight the
war it would be a two and a half opposition
forces that we would have to fight and he literally agreed by nodding his head.
Nothing so far is right at it’s place after December 8th
for me. He was planning to put the entire defence's strength at it’s place in it’s
perfect order by May 2023 as per my calculation and thereafter he had the mind
to put the sports sector of the Indian defence especially in Hockey, Athletics
and Boxing at the purposeful and the
appropriate place. That is what I was looking for !!.
The man is GONE. The LIGHT remains for illumination .Hope
the DARKNESS
would be dispelled by the “ LIGHT’S
” and the other lights that
were with him serving the nation, in defence, to carry his legacy forward.
Rest In Peace The India’s FIRST EVER “
CDS ” May your TRIBE INCREASE to safeguard this motherland.
That is it
Regards and Thanks
