The " FOUR " Unknown Game Without Any Games Association In India And Their " EXPLOSION " In International Games Competition

The Unknown Games Of India And Their National Contribution

India is a very peculiar country.  Frankly speaking, this country runs on the blessings of some of the deities and some of the Gods that were born here in the primitive places and after some times there were some preachers and reformers born, whose and theirs blessings  are still hovering around to save this country from a total disaster.

How can a country which has a population of 140 crores survive without any real structure and infra –structure , without any diaphragm and  proper planning and systemization at every level. It is really a miracle to even think of India surviving at such a state of affair which is and which we can call it as a mess.

Here in this system of India and her organization, be it of any body and any entity, the wonderful aspect that comes to the light at times to see is that there is neither any body nor any structure, yet the country at times produces miracles and we start biting our fingers or the nails to think that HOW IT COULD BE POSSIBLE. It is because there is a systematic blessing which comes to the nation from some spiritual power which blesses us always to produce those kind of unbelievable results. THIS IS THE BEAUTY OF THIS COUNTRY, INDIA.

No doubt we even after 74 years of Independence and even after so many years living under the umbrella of slavery, are still reeling with some statistical numerals and output which makes us to live in wonder .This no doubt makes India a NATION OF MIRACULOUS WONDER.

If these miracles and the wonderful events that makes our life to believe them as wonders are taken into account, there is one aspect which we call it as sports, where inspite of having nothing even after the passage of 74 years in terms of anything worth calling them as FULL-FLEDGED-SPORTS-AMENITIES, we produce certain miracle to bag and corner the lime light.

I shall name atleast FOUR games and sports where we have NOTHING in terms of anything to provide the facility to produce the champions or the medallions, yet we see that wonderfully the medals have come to our country and this astonishes us like anything.

I can name four sports, Wu-Shu, Lawn Bowl , Bridge, and Sepak Takraw with another one which is some kind of a sports which is a combination of kicks and karate where we do not even know about the existence of the game or the sports that if ever it existed in this country and if ever there is a body of association which conducts these games and sports, yet surprisingly,  whenever there is an international event, we find our players taking part in the same and at times by the surprise that or which the almighty can produce, we come up with some medals in these games or sports.

Let me start from Wu-Shu.

Wu-Shu-:

I do not know from where this game has come to India. This is not an Indian originated game at all. The manner in which it is played, it appears that it has it’s origin somewhere in the Mongolian dominated nation, which could be either Japan,  Korea or even China.

Pic - : The Pictorial Of Wu-Shu

I was surprised during my visit to Lucknow during April in 2022 when I was at Lucknow to witness the All India K.D.Singh Babu Centenary Hockey celebration. While my return to Jhansi, I had to take an intermittent break at Jhansi to board another train.

At the waiting hall was a team from Bihar, the photos of the competitors is illustrated here and one can look at the photo. The pictures describes it all. This was the Bihar contingent of Wu-Shu that had participated in the National Wu-Shu competition which was held somewhere at Haryana and the team had won three medals in the nationals, was returning home. I was surprised to see this team at the waiting hall at the Jhansi Railway waiting hall.

Pic-:: The Bihar Contingent about Whom I have Addressed Here Whom I Saw Them At Jhansi
.

When I saw them, and approached them to know about who are they and all about them , I was surprised to hear that this was the Bihar contingent of Wu-Shu. When interrogated, I was stunned to find that-:

1).There is NOR any association  and NIETHER any facility, which could be construed as Association Of Bihar Wu-Shu

2). That there was NOTHING in terms of anything at Bihar for these players to participate or practice.

3). That the entire funding of the team was personal

4).That the team traveled in unreserved compartment and again were travelling back home in unreserved compartment and yet the team had WON three medals, all through the individual effort.

5). That the coach of the team was a 20 years old guy who spends his money, all by himself to learn more and more about this game to impart the lessons to the ones who are the participants to fight in the ring.

THIS IS WHAT THE NITISH, THE LALU AND THE ONES AT BIHAR HAVE DONE TO THE KIDS, THE COOTS AND THE YOUNGSTERS TO GROW INTO A SPORTS PERSONALITY.

Take this projection to the entire country which we call it as India. Try to find and figure it out. Try to find whether there is any association that exists at India which promotes Wu-Shu NO AND NONE WOULD BE THE ANSWER.

We find that and I have traced that India sends its contingent to the Asian Games to and for the players to participate at Wu-Shu. Just imagine a nation without any Wu-Shu body or any association sends its athelete to participate in the Asian Games and at time even in other continental games. How do you expect the athletes of these games to produce wonder.Yet in the Asian level we have come up with some medals in the game.

IT IS SO MANY A YEARS THAT Wu-Shu  AS A GAME HAS BEEN RUNNING IN THIS COUNTRY WITHOUT ANYTHING WORTH CALLING IT A SYSTEM THAT RUNS THE GAME.

Has any SPORTS MINISTER given any thought on this matter.  IS THE PRESENT SPORTS MINISTER AWARE OF THE FACT. WHAT HAS HE DONE IN THIS MATTER TO ATLEAST FORM A STRUCTURE FOR THE GAME. NOTHING AND “ NIL”

Do not the Sports Ministry and the Sports Minister responsible for these kind of injudicious state of affair that is running in this country. Aren’t they responsible for DISRESPECTING their duty toward the NATIONAL SPORTS POLICY. They are raking miliions after millions every years through various schemes but where are the facility for the sportsman to train themselves and tune themselves to the very HIGHEST echelon of the game.

WHO IS ANSWERABLE FOR THIS AND WHAT IS THE PRESENT SPORTS MINISTER DOING. These are the national outcry and this ought to be addressed by the Prime minister.

A CLASS EXAMPLE OF BUILDING CASTLE IN “ AIR ”

The “ LAWN – BOWL ”

Now I come to the other game and that is the Lawn – Bowl. It is a WONDER that this game has NO and NOTHING that could be described as ONE OF THE GAME THAT IS PLAYED AT INDIA .

Pic-:: The Indian Lawn-Bowl Team That Won The Gold Medal At The Last
CWG Games

Just scratch your head from the first day of the year to the very last day of the year to find out any traces of Lan-Bowl and about anything which could be termed as a infrastructure that ought to be provided to the game to produce players in this game You will have no answer and nothing in terms of anything as clue  to the question that I have posed to give an answer.

Yet MIRACLE did happen in the foregone Commonwealth Games where we came up with GOLD MEDAL in the team event of this game in the last CWG games.

HOW  DID WE MANAGE TO BEAT TEAMS LIKE ENGLAND, CANADA and WALES where there is such a HUGE infra-structure to build the players to play this game and win the medals for their nation , is something that NOBODY would have an answer.

Believe me- THERE IS NOTHING IN TERMS OF THE BODY, IN TERMS OF THE LAWNS TO PRACTISE THIS GAME AND NO INFA STRUCTURE TO PLAY THE GAME. Yet, we have come up wih a GOLD MEDAL in the last CWG games in this competition. IS THAT NOT A MIRACLE ?.

Is is not the Ministry of Sports to answer about the FORT of the AIR that the nation has constructed to carry out these games. By the way- WHAT IS THE PRESENT SPORTS MINISTER DOING. IS HE TAKING A STROLL AT THE “ COOLEST-WAVE-GARDEN ” OF LORD SHIVA AT SHIVALAYA

BRIDGE :: NOT SIGN OF “ BRIDGING-THE-GAPS ”

The THIRD in the list is the game which we call it as a BRIDGE, which is played by the card. The playing card is perhaps the most useless game in this country. It has nothing to provide if you just play for the heck of it .

Pic - : The " SURPRISE "  " BRIDGE "  TEAM THAT WON THE " GOLD " At The Asian Games

If you are a GAMBLER, well this game of gambling has many other faces that India. There are games like       “ HOUSIE” , “ TAMBOLA ”  and at times we call it “ BRAY ”  which again is a game played by the playing card, and that involves money to put in it to play it.

There is a GAME WHICH WE CALL IT AS “ BRIDGE ”  One can play it putting money, one can without putting any money in it. That depends on the one’s who wish to play it as a gamble, or as a purity of sports.

It is said and believed that those who have a very  STRONG BRAIN with full of intelligence in it are the one’s who play bridge. This is a game which requires a full of mental balance, a fulfilled intelligence and the power of the brain to be at it’s best cleverness if at all one would need to become a well defined champion in the field of games and sports that is related to the game of bridge.

There is still no body that runs and controls the game. There is no association that controls this game in India. There is no scope to produce national level players in Bridge.

Yet for the MIRACLE-  INDIA WON THE FIRST EVER BRIDGE GOLD MEDAL IN THE LAST ASIAN GAMES.

It is well four years now that we are the ASIAN GOLD MEDALLIONS in the game of Bridge. Very soon the nest Asian games is round the corner.  May I ask the Sports Minister a QUESTION - WHO WERE THE PLAYERS AND THEIR NAME THAT WON US THE ASIAN GAMES IN THE BRIDGE COMPETITION.

The last in the list is the game by the name of Sepak-Takraw.

This game took it’s root at India in and way back in 1982-83. Till the date more than FOUR DECADES have passed. One WOULD NOT   FIND AN ASSOCIATION OR A BODY THAT EXISTS THAT RUNS THE GAME IN THIS COUNTRY.

Pic-:: Sepak Takraw

Played by a ball made of STRAW and is the combination of FOOTBALL AND KARATE KICKS, this game originated at Malaysia. To make it an Olympic event, the EXHIBITION GAMES was played at the SEOUL OLYMPICS .It could not break through to make it’s place as an Olympic event because the game of TENNIS took the place. It is played , depending on the singles or the doubles with the doubles involving four players instead of two. THAT IS THE BASIC DIFFERENCE OF THE DOUBLES SQUAD OF TENNIS, BADMINTON AND SEPAK TAKRAW.

The FIRST ever Sepak Takraw team was formed in 1983 which toured Malaysia in 1983.Two players of the team , one was Joseph Rao a Sports Reporter of the NAGPUR TIMES , then, and the other was a PHOTOGRAPHER, from Nagpur,  were the member of this team. One could have and one cpould easily imagine what   the Malaysian national team, where this game originated,  might have made of that Indian team

Nothing to write more. We strongly are BLESSED by the deities and by the God and Goddess at every level and at every stages that governs our life. That is the foremost reason that we are still existing at earth , here at India.

For a country , whose, still 73% of the people are living below the poverty line, who thrive by the food and the supplies that are provided by the Government Of India , we really are LUCKY for the ALMIGHTY to bless us all through for the miracles that we create- be at the international competition or be it for anything , for and at any events that are being conducted.

There is NO answer that the nation can expect from these one’s who govern the nation to build it or make it a strong nation.

Better DO NOT EXPECT ANYTHING FROM THE SPORTS MINISTRY AS WELL.

That is it

Regards and Thanks
