The Perennial Problem Of Deccan Herald and India Today – Deccan Herald Always Comes Out With “ WRONG INFORMATIONS ”
Perennial Problem Of Deccan Herald:: It Always Comes Out
With “
WRONG INFORMATIONS ”
STRANGE - " INDIA TODAY " ALSO FOLLOWED THE SAME ABOUT SUDHIR NAIK.
Today when I was browsing through the website I found that whatever mistakes that DECCAN HERALD has committed the same kind of mistakes were committed by the website of India Today. Inspite of possessing Rajdeep Sardesai, it is horrible to see and find that India Today commits these kind of silly mistakes.
Every website that has come up with the article on Sudhir Naik has been wrong in one way or the other manner but Deccan Herald as it is has the reputation of being very wrong always when it comes to the most important news to publish. That has been their habit and I have noticed that. In this write up I would like to make a few points as I have noted that.
Deccan Herald , India Today :: A " LUMPY-BIG ELEPHANT " With " BLINDERS-BLIND " To Follow Them ::
Over the years, the kind of a business, the kind of the people following in terms of those who are interested in knowing the news after reading them, and the kind of a business that they have carried out for them, the TWO ELEPHANTS mentioned here have been carrying out their business hoping that everyday , everything that they come out with, everytime, is true , which is not and the people BLINDLY follow them. This is what is the disease of the BLINDNESS that these two news agencies have carried and given it to the people of India.
The Old Problem, The Changing Guards
Sometimes over the years, when an institution survives for
such a long period of time, and when the old hands leaves the desk for the new
to take its place , there occurs a problem which if not solved properly at the
most appropriate time, the problem turns into perennial. This is what is the factual
and the actual problem that Deccan Herald is facing and THIS HAS BECOME THEIR
PERENNIAL PROBLEM .
MASTERY IS A
TIRELESS JOB OF OVER THIRTY YEARS PLUS OF RECURRING EXERCISE
To those who are in the print industry which relates to
newspaper and to those who are in the media for these many years, let me first
start by adding the line that if you want to be a MASTER of your
trade, you will have to do that job in a recurring manner for more than thirty
years. It has to be started from a very young age of say seven at the minimum
to say ten years of age at the maximum
and then you would have to continue it for years and years and years
together, everyday mugging it correctly and computerizing it in your memory.
Only then you become the master of your trade .
Remembering any thing has an exercise. One has to jot it in
the piece of paper, browse your eye over it everyday, mug it like you sip the
tea without even a drop falling on your cloth, and that is the PERFECTION
that one has to do everyday when you completely become a computerized personnel
to come out with a perfect output and that is your accuracy by 100%
The Fault With The New Generation :: They Are Misled By The Events
That Has Happened
The present generation that has replaced the one before them
are completely misled. With a cell phone in their hand and with the GOOGLE
at their disposal they think that whatever is there in the Google , is the PROPHECY
OF TRUTH. The
GOSPEL OF THE TRUTH is that whatever is in the google, it is me,
and you who have poured in that information in the google and the present
generation thinks that everything in the google is correct whereas it is not.
If I’m WRONG TO PUT ANYTHING IN GOOGLE IN TERMS OF ANY INFORMATIOS , THE
GOOGLE WOULD BE WRONG. This is the basic and this is the reality.
However the present generation does not realizes this and everytime they , if
they come across a wrong info, they blindly believe that it is correct for them
to be wrong AND THIS IS WHAT THE DECCAN
HERALD IS DOING EVERYTIME WITH THEIR YOUNG MEDIA TURKS.
These youngsters full with BOOMING energy come up with some
kind of facts which are totally wrong and this they are doing it since 2003
without correcting themselves.
MISTAKES IN RECURS BY DECCAN HERALD ::
There have been many and many ever since 2003 but I would
like to put some of them that they have committed in sports.

It Was “
AJIT NAYAK ” And Not
“ SUDHIR NAIK ”
Yesterday a cricketer who played in three test matches for
India, Sudhir Naik expired. He played in onlt three Test matches in cricket for India
in the seventies.
Pic - :: A Photo Of Sudhir Naik
Today the Deccan Herald came up with an obituary article on
Sudhir Naik stating that in 1971 when the Indian team was in West-Indies with
Sunil Gavaskar, Ajit Wadekar, Dilip Sardesai, Ashok Mankad and Eknath Solkar not in the team
it was Sudhir Naik who led that team of Bombay to win their Ranji Trophy finals for the title .
Both Ajit Nayak and Sudhir Naik were employed with the
TATAS. Ajit Nayak was with TATA OIL MANUFACTURING COMPANY ( TOMCO ). and Sudhir Naik was with TATA
CHEMICALS. Sudhir Naik was a GOLD MEDALLIST in ORGANIC
CHEMISTRY from Bombay University whereas Ajit Nayak was a B.Com
form Bombay University.
The Newspaper further goes to say that when those FIVE stalwart returned back to assist Bombay then, in cricket, it was Sudhir Naik who lost his place. AGAIN WRONG - it Was Ajit Nayak who would play as an allrounder and would bowl his medium pace stuff had lost his place to Eknath Solkar.
Ajit Nayak expired on 1999 at Ghaziabad when he was holding the post of BRANCH MANAGER for TOMCO at Ghaziabad when his age was 50 and Sudhir Nail expired on April 5th 2023 at Mumbai when his age was about 78 years. .
B ). East Bengal Had
Won The Durand Cup For The 16th Time Then , Not 15
The FIRST ever mistake that I noticed Deccan Hearld committing
was on the very front page in 2003 when under the coaching of Subhas Bhowmik,
East Bengal had won the DURAND CUP in 2003.
It was then, the SIXTEENTH occasion that East Bengal
had won that trophy and had equaled the record of Mohun Bagan .However on the
next day , what we saw was the FRONT PAGE message about the
same with Deccan Herald proclaiming and printing the news that East Bengal had
won it for the FIFTEEN occasion.
Placing wrong statistics and printing wrong info has been
the PERRENIAL
HABIT of Deccan Herald though it claims itself to be the BEST
newspaper in the business.
C). Pataudi Had Led India For
two Tests Against west Indies In 1974-75
Mansur Ali Khan, Pataudi last led India in the Bombay test in 1974 at
Wankhede Stadium .India had lost that match by 202 runs and the series by 2-3.
When pataudi expired there was an article on him by Deccan
Herald crying that he last led India in the 1974-75 series against west-Indies
where he led india in all the FIVE Test and lost that series by 2-3.
It maybe recalled here that in that series Pataudi led India
at Bangalore, at Calcutta, at Madras and at Bombay then, in only FOUR Test
matches. The Delhi test match which was the SECOND of that
series was Venkatraghvan who led India .
Thus Pataudi led in FOUR Test matches in that series. He
lost at Bangalore which was holding its FIRST EVER Test match in its
annals, and Wankhede Stadium which like Bangalore was holding its FIRST
Test match. Pataudi won at Eddans gardens at Calcutta and at Madras then.
Pataudi had LOST TWO AND WON TWO IN THAT SERIES.
D ) . The “
HANGING-OFFENSE ” Of
Deccan Herald ::
We know all about M.P.Ganesh. He was the Captain of the Indian
Hockey team for the 1973 world Cup that was held at Amsterdam at Holland .
Ganesh later was to become the OVERALL ADMINISTRATOR IN CHARGE for the KARNATAKA STATE CRICKET ASSOCIATION
No sooner he became one, there was endless articles on
M.P.Ganesh carried out by all the newspaper which are published from Bangalore
and Deccan Herald was no exception. However again it HANGED THE INDIAN HOCKEY THEN.
It was published that during the FIRST WORLD CUP HOCKEY
that was held at Barcelona, M.P.Ganesh was the one who scored that VICTORY GOAL
that fetched India the BRONZE.
IT WAS “ ASHOK KUMAR DHYANCHAND ” , WHO SCORED THAT GOAL, WHEREAS THE
EQUALISER CAME THROUGH SHAHID NOOR WHO SCORED THAT GOAL IN THE FIFTY-SIXTH
MINUTE OF THE GAME, AGAINT KENYA .
That was the
HARDLINE match , ie , the match which was played for the BRONZE .
It is a HABIT – A
PERRENNIAL
ONE BY DECCAN HERALD TO ALWAYS FLASH
THE WRONG INFO’S COMPLETELY CONFUSING THE READERS AND THE CONNOISEURS.
Nevertheless - " RIP " Mr Sudhir Naik
That is it
Regards and Thanks
