There is always the time for FOOTBALL, and when it is Brazil as well as Morrocco, I always make it a point to WAKE up even during the NIGHT and watrch these two team play. ObviouslyJuly 12th July at 3.30 AM was no exception
Brazil is always BRAZIL, and Morrocco is or are the BRAZIL of Africa. Hence when you have TWO Brazilian side of equal standard playing, the NIGHT doesn't BOTHERS you much. It becomes a ROMANTIC night to enjoy as every MINUTES, every minutes are so SENSOUS
I would happily stay awake for a grand football match that started at 3:30 in the morning. These days, that habit has NOT gone. Yet, when Morocco vs Brazil came around, I decided to wait. Maybe it was because Morocco had already proved to the world in 2022 that they were not just another underdog. They had shocked everyone, reached the semi-finals, and broken Portuguese hearts along the way. So naturally, I was curious to see how they would perform against one of football’s biggest giants.
STUNNED BUT ADMIRED A LOT......
And honestly, the opening fifteen minutes left me stunned. THEN AGAIN THERE WAS A STUNNER. IN THE 31ST MINUTES OF PLAY.When you watch Brazil the STUNNER simply proves that WHEN IT COMES TO MAGIC, NOBODY IN THIS EARTH CAN COME ANYWHERE NEAR BRAZIL. UNDOUBTEDLY, BRAZIL IS A " MAGICAL WONDER " OF FOOTBALL.
MORROCCO - INTENSIFIED AND CARRIED " CRUCIFIED " MOTIVES
Morocco came out with incredible intensity. They were aggressive, fearless, and surprisingly dominant in possession. Instead of sitting deep and waiting for counterattacks, they pressed high, attacked quickly, and forced Brazil into uncomfortable situations. It almost felt like Brazil were the underdogs for a brief period.
That early dominance eventually paid off when Ismael Saibari gave Morocco the lead after a brilliant attacking move. Morocco’s midfield was the biggest reason behind their success. Young midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi controlled the tempo, won duels, and helped Morocco dictate large parts of the game. Their structure without the ball was equally impressive, making it difficult for Brazil to play through the middle.
FLAWS MAY BE 1000 - BUT BRAZIL STILL RTEMAINS FAVOURITES BECAUSE OF BRILLANCE
However, football at the highest level is often decided by moments of individual brilliance, and Brazil have players who can create those moments from nowhere. Vinicius Junior produced exactly that. Just when Morocco looked comfortable, Vinicius cut inside and unleashed a stunning finish to bring Brazil back into the game. It was the kind of goal and that too from such an ACUTE angle, that reminded everyone why Brazil remain one of the favourites despite their flaws.
TACTICAL EXPOSURE EXPOSES BOTH THE TEAM AND WHY ??..??
From a tactical perspective, this match exposed both teams.
Brazil’s biggest weakness was their midfield balance. Morocco repeatedly found space between the lines, and Brazil’s pressing looked disconnected during the opening stages. Their defensive organization also looked vulnerable whenever Morocco transitioned quickly. At times, Brazil appeared to rely too heavily on individual quality rather than collective control. Carlo Ancelotti’s side improved after tactical adjustments and substitutions, but the fact remains that they struggled to dominate possession and territory against a well-organized opponent.
The biggest positive for Brazil was their ability to respond under pressure. Previous Brazilian teams might have panicked after falling behind, but this side showed patience. Vinicius looked dangerous throughout, and the second-half adjustments gave them better control of midfield. They did not win, but they avoided a defeat that could have created early pressure in the group.
SWOT Analysis Of Morocco
As for Morocco, their strengths are becoming very clear. They are tactically disciplined, physically strong, organized defensively, and increasingly comfortable in possession. This is no longer a team that depends solely on defending and counter attacking. They can control matches against elite opposition. The only criticism is that they could not fully capitalize on their dominance. During their best spell, they probably needed a second goal. Against top teams, missed opportunities often become costly.
THE RESULT WAS FAIR BUT OVERAL IMPROVEMENT IS REQUIRED FOR BOTH THE SIDE- ::
In the end, a 1-1 draw was probably fair. Morocco will walk away believing they can compete with anyone in this tournament. Brazil will leave knowing they still have work to do if they want to lift the World Cup. The result keeps Group C wide open, but it also sends a message to the rest of the world.
Morocco’s 2022 run was not a miracle. They are the African Nation Football Cup Champions beside they also have an Olympic Medal to their tally to add. They have come here as the TOP African nation to qualify for this World Cup
And Brazil, despite all their talent, still have tactical questions that need answers before the knockout stages begin.
So what was the end result of this game. No IT WAS NEVER A 1-1 DRAW. THE RESULT WAS
