Well as they say TIME HAS NO WING BUT IT FLIES and that makes
time the MOST- ACIDULOUS – MAGICIAN that flies.

It was on December 17th 1971,
when the PROCLAMATION DEED was signed by General Niazi, handing the COPY with his ENDORSEMENT to
CHIEF-OF-THE-INDIAN EASTERN COMMAND that we SURRENDER and ACCEPT a DEFEAT and
to END the war after his counterpart at Islamabad or Karachi or Lahore then had
asked him to ACCEPT the DEFEAT to the Indian Army and surrender the entire ARM
FORCE of Pakistan numbering about 93,000 to the Indian Army under Mr Jagjit
Singh Arora. However the Pakistani Army had completely accepted the DEFEAT on December 16th 1971
, and the WAR then came to an end ,though the papers were signed on December 17th about the same and
the matter is described as above.

This is and this will be to many who were not born then. This
will be to many who might have forgotten the moment and the date if they are
not an avid follower of the history but this is something which is and which cannot be forgotten by those who
rewrite the maps of the World as the war at the end gave a birth to a new
nation and the map of the WORLD was redrawn as Indian had created Bangladesh
then and Bangladesh them imbibed ISLAM to become a new Islamic country and a
new nation .
This war was fought in a different manner. It was that the war
had TWO Army fighting united with each other as ONE unit and they had the
Pakistani Army to fight on and upon. The Primary Army was the MUKTI-VAHINI
which means the CARRIER of INDEPENDENCE as that is how it is translated from
Bengali to English and it had them as the UPFRONT SURGING UNIT in the war and
then it had the IndianArmy who were the facilitators as it facilitated the war
to crush the impact of the opponent which was the Pakistani Army which had
clustered at Dhaka then and at all the place at Bangladesh.
This war and it’s tale has been covered by me in my article
that I have written on Albert Ekka here on my December 2019 write up on Albest
Ekka which one can read that on my blog page. That actually describes everything
about the war. Hence written once I would not like to lean on the same
description but what makes it really describable is the manner that the war was
fought where the homework for launching the attack was explained to the Mukti –
Vahini and everyday training were parted and imparted to them and after they
opened the assault using the Indian Arms
and the tactics of the Indian Army, the Army would read the entire proceeding
and the gamuit of the launch that the Mukti Vahini would involve themselves
doing that as an exercise and would finally gve it a finishing touch to make
all the amends.
Mukti Vahini were the front line assaulters and the indian Army was the back
end smashing office. It was avery new
kind of an war along with a very new kind of a tactics that was used to win
that war and at last the war ended on December 17th 1971.
The Chief Of The eastern Command, Mr Jagjit Singh Arora of
the Indian Army laid down an memorandum to the Chief Of The Pakistani Army at
Bangladesh, Mr Niazi that either you fight till the nod end to see yourself and
your Army totally whitewashed or you are given a SECOND-LIFE to surrender and
accept the end of the war as a DEFEAT for Pakistan and your Army..
The Pakistani Chief at Dhaka then evaluated and after making
the Pakistani Authorities at Lahore and Islamabad to accept the HARSH REALITY,
succeeded in making them to understand the fact that the acceptance of the
defeat was the best that suited Pakistan at that stage , and an accord was
signed by the Pakistani Chief of Army, Mr Niazi to surrender and bring about an
end to the war. That was the DEFEAT that Pakistan had to taste and that was the
start of the life of a new nation by the name of BANGLADESH that was formed.
I do not want to go over to the KNITTY-GRITTY of the war at
all as I have described it in my article on Albert Ekka here in my blog page
which I have pasted it on the month of December last year .One can fall onto it
for a careful reading or a peruse.
I have on this blog web page , during December on December 16th
2019, have written this article Albert Ekka:
A SOLDIER MUSICIAN who COMPOSED the SONG of “ VICTORY ” INDIA Dec 17th ,1971.
A “ DAY “ TO REMEMBER in the annals of the Indian Army and
India.
The HEROES definitely were the likes of Albert Ekka, Mr
Nirmaljit Sekhon, Mr Arun Khetrapal to name some with HIGHEST HONOUR , Mr Maneckshaw, and OF COURSE the ENTIRE unit of
Indian Defense which can fully walk with it’s head high and up after this
incident.

Ninty Three THOUSANDS personnel of the Pakistani army laid down
their arms on that day to accept their defeat and surrender to India which had
won that war , for the second time in six years against them in 1971 .
Pic - :: Mr Arun Khetrapal , Winner Of Param Vir Chakra
I have put down the pictures of Mr Albert Ekka and Mr Abdul Hamid, both, Lance Naik and both winner of PARAM VIR CHAKRA in my write up here on the blog page, here, and I do not repeat
that .However for the one’s who of this generation would like to know about the
other two ,I’m putting their pictures here for them to see and know who they
were and what did they do in the 1971 war against the Pakistani who attacked
India first and were on the rampage before INDIA DOUSED them off. It was the NINETEEN YEARS of age, Mr Arun Khetrapal who like Abdul Hammed in 1965, took on the Pakistani tanks and completely MINCED them before he laid his life breathing his last.
December 16th, A " GREAT " DAY FOR THE COUNTRY TO CELEBRATE
Well , that is it
Regards and Thanks

Oh how dreadful experiences of those days. It sends chills down the spine as & when I recollect those days. Hands on experience as was in the thick of action.
ReplyDeleteWe who were alive still could not control us first when we were told that the entire night has been blackened because of the haunting Sabre Jet which could hit the civilians at any time, and then we could not control our feelings when it was announced on the A.I.R that India has won the batle by forcing Pakistan to enter into cease-fire.Regards Shyamal Bhattacharjee
